Wencelius
Twenty-five years building things worth building — from brand identities to full-stack products to companies from the ground up.

My work sits at the intersection of creative direction, technology, and business.
I'm Marc Wencelius — a creative director and creative technologist who has spent 25 years leading creative work, building digital products, and running the businesses behind them. That track record is not abstract: I founded Musiquebec and grew it into the largest music school in Laval in under two years, built Musicos Boutique into an award-nominated specialty retail concept, and have been running Musicos Productions — a full-service music and events agency — since 2016. Managing teams, negotiating contracts and producing 100+ live events taught me what it takes to make creative work actually land.
What makes my approach unusual is that I'm equally fluent in design and code. I direct creative campaigns, build brand identities, and develop the digital products that bring those brands to life — from visual systems and Figma to full-stack development and AI-powered workflows. That means when I lead a creative team, I understand every discipline around the table. I can set direction and then roll up my sleeves and build alongside the team when it matters.
I work in three languages — French, English, and Spanish — and I've built and run businesses in three countries. That range shapes how I think about creative problems, how I communicate across teams and cultures, and the kinds of projects I take on. I'm available for remote and international engagements (currently based between France and Mexico), and looking for roles where creative leadership, strategic vision, and hands-on execution meet.
What drives me
Design
Creating visual language that does strategic work — not just looks good, but positions, differentiates, and endures.
Technology
Building tools that give creative teams real leverage — from full-stack products to AI and automation. Understanding the code well enough to lead engineers, and build alongside them.
Systems
Thinking in systems, not isolated artifacts. A brand, a codebase, and a business all behave the same way — get the structure right and everything downstream gets easier. That's the throughline connecting work that looks unrelated on paper.
Impact
I've built payrolls, made difficult calls, and sold businesses. Impact for me isn't abstract — it's the kind that shows up in outcomes.
The best creative work I've led never felt like a compromise between art and business — it felt like the two were pulling in the same direction. That's the alignment I look for in every project I take on.
